The Hivery and the Substackers Club invite you to an evening of connection and conversation with writers Shira Gill, Sophie Davies, and Jillian Bremer, moderated by Hivery founder Grace Kraaijvanger.
Together, we’ll explore what it means to put your ideas into the world, develop your voice, build a body of work, connect with readers, and discover where writing can lead, creatively, professionally, and personally.
We’ll talk about the things writers actually wonder about. How do you find your voice? How do you keep going? What happens when you put your real ideas into the world and people start reading?
Featured speakers:
✦ Shira Gill — writer of The Life Edit, organizing expert, author of bestselling author of the books: Minimalista, Organized Living, LifeStyled and the forthcoming Work Life. Shira shares ideas on intentional living, work, creativity, and design, reaching readers in all 50 states and 150 countries.
✦ Sophie Davies — writer of CUPPA, a curated newsletter of local culture and events, founder of Cuppa Culture, which brings women together to support female-owned businesses. She also co-hosts Sips & Stories speaker series, and leads the monthly Substackers gatherings at The Hivery.
✦ Jillian Bremer — writer of A Great Curiosity and a creative business coach who uses Human Design to help entrepreneurs understand how they work and create. She also runs a vintage accessories store and shares her personal style through her newsletter.
We’ll trace how each of them started, how their writing has evolved, the role their newsletters play in their creative work and businesses, and the surprising ways writing has connected them to other people, opportunities, communities, events, and real-life experiences.
There will also be time for audience questions at the end.
Guests are invited to arrive from 6:30 PM for welcome drinks and mingling, with the panel beginning promptly at 7:00 PM.
